Microsoft finally realized Linux is winning.

Despite all of the RedHat bribing. And the lobotomization of their users.

Nobody wants to use Windows.

Suddenly, they are listening because the negative press is hurting their control over the industry. They will go right back to abusing their users once they get what they want. Don't give it to them.

        meh. It's still the crippled macOS. Everything after 10.6/Snow Leopard was a mistake. I'd rather have a Lenovo I can run Linux on for four hours over some macShit that can run their garbage for 8. I do realize I'm in the minority.

            @EllisDee @bonkmaykr @djsumdog I really, really like my Chromebook. It's small, convenient, undesirable for thieves, and durable.

            Only problem is that it only has 16 GB storage and an SD card sort with a 32 GB card limit. Newer ones are also locked down, so installing Coreboot isn't as viable an option on a new-ish model with better hardware.

              I self host e-mail, docs, chat and most things I need. I don't have a Google account to log in to. I don't have Gapps on my phone or microG, just F-Droid.

              Would I be able to do anything on a Chromebook? Can you browse the web without signing in to Google?
